Gym holds narrow lead in new PHL17/Emerson College poll

PHL17 and Emerson College released a poll this morning showing a tight Democratic primary for mayor, with Helen Gym on top with 20.5 percent.

Cherelle Parker is second with 18.2 percent, followed by Rebecca Rhynhart with 17.7 percent, Allan Domb with 13.6 percent and Jeff Brown with 10.4 percent. James DeLeon took 2.3 percent, Amen Brown had 1.6 percent, and Delscia Gray and Warren Bloom each had less than 1 percent.

Some 15.1 percent were undecided.

When undecideds were asked whom they were leaning toward, the new overall totals showed Gym with 22.5 percent, Parker with 21.3 percent, Rhynhart with 20.3 percent, Domb with 17.1 percent and Jeff Brown with 11.6 percent.

The poll surveyed 600 likely Democratic voters May 7-9, and had a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points.
